Train to Gain is an opportunity for businesses to access Government funding towards their learning and development, including professional exams, courseware and training events.
The Train to Gain initiative, promoted via the Leadership and Management Advisory Service (LMAS) through Business Link regional agencies, is available in England up to 2012.
To qualify, the organisation in which you work should employ between 5 and 250 staff. Diploma qualifications are very likely to be made compulsory through changes soon to be imposed by the FSA’s Retail Distribution Review. Once these have been established, your chance of help with training costs through this scheme could be lost. If you are a business owner or senior manager, you should arrange to contact Business Link in your region and an adviser will assist you through the assessment process.
