The Advanced DipFA qualification comprises five modules, but you only need to complete four of them, which you can study in any order.
There are two compulsory core modules, Taxation, Trusts and Tax Compliance (TTTC) and Managing Investments (MANI). You can then pick:
- Pension Transfers (PETR) + Financial Planning in Retirement (FPIR)
or
- Pension Transfers or Financial Planning in Retirement + a Level 4 specialist unit, such as Certificate in Long Term Care and Later Life Planning (CertLTCP) or CeMAP Diploma

This core module comprises a 90-minute written examination and a separate timed assessment over four hours. The pass mark for each component is 50%. We provide a two-day online course for each component.
Managing Investments (MANI)
This core module comprises a 90-minute written examination and a separate timed assessment over four hours. The pass mark for each component is 50%. We provide a two-day online course for each component
Pension Transfers (PETR)
This module comprises two separate 90-minute written examinations. The pass mark for each component is 50%. We provide a two-day online course for each component.
Financial Planning in Retirement (FPIR)
This module comprises a 90-minute written examination and a separate timed assessment over four hours. The pass mark for each component is 50%. We provide a two-day online course for each component.
Certificate in Long Term Care and Later Life Planning (Cert LTCP)

Completetion of the Adv DipFA® can lead to a Chartered Designation awarded by LFIB.
