- The London Institute of Banking and Finance Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA) is a Level 4 qualification for financial advisers who wish to enhance their prospects by demonstrating a higher level of knowledge and skills.
- The DipFA comprises two compulsory units
- Unit One - Financial Services Regulation and Ethics (FSRE)
– Multi-choice question assessment
- Unit Two - Advanced Financial Advice (AFA)
- Written coursework assignment + final written exam
Assessment 1 = Advanced Financial Advice (AFA) - Written coursework assignment – 50% pass mark
Assessment 2 = Advanced Financial Advice (AFA) – 3-hour written paper – 50% pass mark
Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice - CeMAP®
- Required by any individual who wishes to give mortgage advice.
- Comprises three modules:
- 70% Pass Mark
- UK Financial Regulation - 100 multi-choice questions
- Mortgages - 100 multi-choice questions
- Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge - 6 case studies
Certificate in Regulated Equity Release - CeRER®
- Designed for anyone advising on any form of equity release product
- Comprises a single module with 80 multi-choice questions and 3 case studies
- Need full CeMAP® (or equivalent) to attain the full certificate
- Counts towards the Advanced CeMAP® qualification
